The Youth & Young Adults of Apostolic Tabernacle would like to once again say "Thank you" to all who joined us for Part I of The Truth Behind Hip Hop.
What an awakening! The response was overwhelming and we've received a continous flow of positive feedback. As of October 9, we have collected over 330 cds and cassette tapes (and still counting) from young people who refuse to be bound any longer.
Since we had such an "awesome" time in part one, we would like to invite you to join us for The Truth Behind Hip Hop-Part II, Exodus into Egypt on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 7:00pm to be held at Apostolic Tabernacle, 5547 Cavalcade, 77026 (713-673-5032).
Because of it's origin and what Hip Hop originally represented in it's earlier stages, we cannot embrace it as Christians. Their can be no Holy Hip Hoppers or no Christian Hip Hop because the culture cannot lend itself to the direction of the Holy Spirit.
The world needs the message of hope without the influence of the secular industry. Remember, “secularized” Christian music will only draw people to the secular, but the Spirit of God will draw them to Jesus Christ.
"The spirit of hip hop is a demonic force, birthed in Hell, and sent with a mission to deceive, glorify sin, and take control of the minds of our youth, thus giving Satan complete control of an entire generation. And it's all done through music!"
Isaiah 5:20 says, “Destruction is certain for those who say that evil is good and good is evil; that dark is light and light is dark; that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.”
When Lucifer was cast from heaven nothing changed except his name. His assignment, his ability and talent to make music was never taken away from him by God. He is still a musician!
Let's work together to expose the devil and see our young people set free to live for God. So invite your family and friends to The Truth Behind Hip Hop-Part II, Exodus into Egypt on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 7:00pm.
