In a move to define marriage and effectively ban same-sex marriage in the State of Texas, the Texas Legislature has proposed a constitutional amendment which will be on the ballot as Proposition 2 on November 8, 2005.

Proposition 2 states:
  • Marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman.
  • This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.

If you would like to keep this proposition, vote FOR otherwise vote against. So go out and vote on Tuesday, November 8th. If we don't vote, they will! Remind everyone you know to exercise their right to vote. It's your voice.
