Praise the Lord & Happy New Year!
1Timothy4:12 - Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Thank God for Apostolic young people. Spirit-filled, blood washed sanctified and holy young people. Young people who do not despise their youth but are an example of the believers as the scripture says. 2007 was a phenomenal year for the youth department of Apostolic Tabernacle. God has blessed our young people and youth group in so many ways. In 2007 we’ve seen young people born into the Kingdom of God as they were being filled with the Holy Ghost and we’ve seen young people renew their commitment to Christ. We met with many challenges, obstacles, and hurdles but we stayed the course and have completed the lap of 2007. We ran the race set before us. Thank God and Well Done!
In 2008, I believe the Lord is going to take us higher than we’ve ever been before. This will be a year of growth; a year of change. Our main objective will be to fulfill God’s commission to win the lost. Yes, soul winning must be our focus.
“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled”. - Luke 14:23
In this New Year our challenge will be to equip and empower our young adults to lead their peers and the youth of our assembly into their personal promise lands. To aid in their growth and to mentor them into being the vessel God had designed them to be. Second to soul winning our focus must include training our youth of today to be the effective leaders of not just tomorrow but also in the right now. Let’s train our youth in the way they should go. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Much prayer and fasting for the growth and development of the youth of Apostolic Tabernacle will usher in great revival. Are you ready for a revival? Then let’s all work together in 2008 to build the Kingdom of God – inside and out.
May God’s blessings follow you and over take you!
